Forgotten Places Photography

Telling stories of places in the past is one way to preserve the history of a location. Photography is another. The photographer, Renee Totten, at Forgotten Places Photography is a paranormal investigator who uses her camera not only to catch glimpses of the world beyond, but to document historical locations. She recently spent time at Preston Castle in California, restoring the castle and investigating it. Her photos of the Castle show the immensity of the structure and the simplicity of its interiors. Rich colors infuse her photographs. On her website you will find numerous photos of locations almost forgotten - loved by ghost hunters and history buffs. Tour November 6th

I received this email from three women who attended the November 6th tour in the Market. Feel free to comment with what you see in the pictures.

"We just got back from your tour. In going through our photos we found some interesting things which we think could be orbs. It was sprinkling pretty good tonight, we we're not sure if it's rain or orbs on some of the photos, but here are the ones we definitely believe to be other worldly.

The first photo; it's not a finger or the camera strap and we don't think it's the glare from the lights because we took another almost identical photo one minute later that didn't have anything "extra" in it.

The second photo is in the empty market. We figure again, it's under cover so it's not rain, it's not a reflection of light or the flash off of something either..

The third photo we're a little up in the air about. It looks like the potential orb is behind the "C". It could possibly be the moon, however, given the weather that evening it is unlikely that it was clear enough to see the moon and it probably wouldn't be that big and full at this point in the lunar cycle anyway. We ruled out rain because, as evidenced in the photo, we are standing under an awning.

The fourth photo is a matter of debate between the three of us. It was taken in the Il Bistro bathroom after we finished the tour. If you look at the "smudge" at the top right hand corner of the mirror, it seems as though it is the silhouette of a Victorian era women. We did take multiple photos of this with and without flash to see if it was just a dirty mirror, however we were unable to produce the same image. We aren't all convinced though that it's a women and not just a dirty mirror smudge.

Regardless, a fun time was had by all and even if it turns out to be explainable, we still had our close encounters.

Thanks!"
